The Roanoke Law Foundation (formerly know as the Roanoke Bar Association Foundation) was established in 1997 to improve and facilitate the administration of justice, to promote the diffusion of knowledge of the law, and to effect such other educational and charitable purposes as the trustees from time-to-time shall determine. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $136,000 in scholarships through the James N. Kincanon Scholarship and in grants for community and other civic purposes.
