Paul represents clients in a broad range of complex civil and criminal litigation matters.  His Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating reflects his extensive experience. Paul has repeatedly been identified as a member of the “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine and voted a “Virginia Super Lawyer” by other members of the legal community. Currently, he is featured in Best Lawyers in America in the fields of commercial litigation and labor and employment litigation.

Paul has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Virginia Court of Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court. While Paul represents employers in many instances, more frequently he represents employees in federal and state employment litigation.  He is a member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.
