Paul Beers and Emma Kozlowski, attorneys for the plaintiff in a personal injury suit, reach a $625,000 settlement in a case in which liability was contested.

Plaintiff was struck by a tractor-trailer while driving his U.S. Postal Service vehicle. He sustained $126,000 in medical bills and a partial wage loss of $48,000. Mrs. Kozlowski and Mr. Beers filed suit on the postal worker’s behalf in the federal court in Roanoke. The case settled through mediation in August 2015, three months prior to a scheduled jury trial.
